testing out the new 50mm on some spring nature-y bits....what a lovely little lens.
spent last weekend wandering around the woods with mother and siblings in celebration of mums day....so ending up in someone's back garden which was unsuccessfully being passed off as a beer garden was probably not the appropriate venue for celebrating your mother! i tried to see some charm, i really did, maybe if i squinted i could enjoy the 'rustic' salt of the earth charm, maybe i've been spoilt by all the london gastropubs? unfortunately what with the landlord's utility room being right next to the pub benches, running machine, washing machine and catering freezer included...and not to mention the lighting/washing line combination in the garden....well that's too hard to give a 'charm' polish to! sorry mum for the strange mother's day venue...but the trusty iphone came to the rescue and directed us to the more suitably gentrified white hart pub with it's lovely open fireplace and pretty outside courtyard. ah, a sigh of relief, a gulp of peroni and a hat tip to middleclass-dom. plus, i could admire this little dream cottage, isn't it gorgeous?
