these videos are so beautiful....i find them strangely moving and uplifting, difficult to watch without a tear in my eye and i'm not really sure why. maybe it's the simple aspirations of people, maybe it's because of those who love their life exactly as it is and with who they spend it....
a simple concept but stunningly executed: ask one question to fifty people. and from this you are offered a brief but insightful snapshot into these people's life and loves. the cinematography is lovely....i love how from the single location (both city and spot on the street), you can imagine these people walking by and stopping to answer the question. some look a little bemused, some really happy to be taking part. and the choice of music to go with it is so perfect. i'm really in love with these films!

my choice, to wake up tomorrow, would be in an island within a beautiful indonesian style lodge, on a bed draped in silk throws, white muslin billowing at the doors and windows, R beside me and esau at the foot of the bed.....how would we get back? not sure that we would want to....
so, where do you want to wake up? no limitations...where would it be?

Hmn. Having problems accessing that one - but reckon I have been visiting long enough to know that it's something I'm going to dig too... so thanks for the direction pointing!
No limitations? It would always be here at home; however, just this morning I was envisioning putting an aerobed on the peninsula in our new kitchen, underneath 2 ceiling fans, windows open....REALLY!
No place I would rather wake up than at home! :-)
Oh gosh..
Sorry to be so frivolous, but I think I would wake up in Vivienne Westwoods shop in London with an unlimited credit card. :)
And drummer boy is cuuuuute. We shall see... :)
oh poo, sorry tania, i've swapped the vimeo video for a youtube version so hopefully that should work a little better...
home is where the heart is....
and liz...your answer so reminds me of something i did at a xmas party once. i was asked if i could have any xmas present in the world what it be...unwittingly i answered i would have an unlimited gift card for topshop. turned out that my answer became part of the xmas quiz and you had to match the person to the answer, so whilst everyone else had things like 'whisked away to caribbean island', 'world peace', 'have my book i've been working on for my whole life published'....and then there was frivolous ole me with my answer!!
yey for cute drummer boys - i've got one of them too ;D
Knew I'd love it.
I'd like to wake up in Madrid for the weekend . Churros , proper bread , tapas , Manchego cheese , callos ......... and , just to prove that I don't just think with my stomach , the Rastro .
i just had to google the rastro - looks amazing!
oh my!!! where would i like to wake up. hmmmmmm. maybe greece or spain or france -- wherever it is warm (but not hot), quiet, and peaceful, with pretty water, yummy food, and beautiful scenery. and a nice man by my side to enjoy it all with! ;)
hope you have a great weekend.
ooh sounds just the location i'm trying to book for my holiday droll ;D
Thank you so much for posting this video. So beautiful and the pick me up I disparately needed.
I would wake up with my love Jon. anywhere. as long as we were together.
