i browse the satorialist, and whilst i love the photography i'm not always inspired by the outfits. except for this one. she is gorgeous, the dress is gorgeous, the shoes are gorgeous. i. must. find. this. outfit. (or at least something similar). and so the hunt begins...
anyone else visited the satorialist? would love to hear your thoughts on the outfits there...and do let me know if you've spotted a similar dress anywhere!

Hey G, I love the outfit too and she is gorgeous. Face it, she could put a burlap sack on, shave her head and she'd still be gorgeous. Alas and alack - I'm far enough along in life that shoes with high heels went out of my closet when I retired. I'm all about simplicity, comfort and practicality. See what can happen as time passes?? :)
Gorgeous GUGAW! I hope you find the outfit. As soon as I find time, I'm thinking of making my own dresses (never done so before so it'll be a new challenge!). I know what I want but can never find it, which is always so frustrating. lol
with that pout and that hair i'm pretty sure she could work burlap! hmm...i think i'm kidding myself about the shoes, i dont have the skills or the inclination to walk in heels that big, and dont think i ever will! maybe if an inch or three was knocked off the heel?
i would LOVE to be able to sew dresses, would love to see how you get on Carol. think i'll have to resort to scouring the internet for this outfit.
I JUST found the satorialist today! :0) I agree, that outfit is awesome!
Hello! I recently received the "Lovely Blog Award" and I was asked to pass the award on to sites that I feel are deserving. I have chosen you as one of the recipients. Please visit my blog for more details!
aww thanks carol! i'll pop over to your blog for more info :D
Not sure where you could find such an outfit, but I agree that The Sartorialist isn't a site so much for cutting edge fashion, but for beautiful people looking great in whatever they wear; usually they have legs for miles, which usually helps!
love, love the shoes....but don't know that i could wear them that high
so glad you visited and commented ....love your lovely blog!

I see this fashion all over Tokyo recently, it is said to be inspired by African garments but having never been to that continent I wouldn't know. She looks very similar to a model I had a photoshoot with a few days ago. I'm posting a few pics on my blog today or tomorrow, so head over and have a look if you are interested! Very different fashion though.
I agree about the shoes. Sometimes I very much regret being born with a wiener. :-(
haha tokyo! i'll keep an eye out for the pics on your blog!
