sculpting words...

i've become a intrigued by these book sculptures i've been stumbling across....i love the folding, the cutting, the tweaking and the twisting. displaying a book as a piece of art and not just because of it's cover..... i want to flick through these origami pages and see which words pop out, possibly completely out of context from what they were orginally intended to mean....these three are by whimsylove , paperfaerie and two hidden heads.

i've just purchased these prints from baddinsdesign - i love them! the detail is so gorgeous and i love the little heartbreak messages being spoken by the inanimate objects. the prints are part of a very limited series with only the last few remaining....

i hear that loved up prints are coming soon, can't wait to see them!

they finally arrived....

i've been so excited these past 3 days, everytime i heard the postman i run to the door hoping they had arrived. and today they did! i ordered 100 of these fab moo business cards,each with a different favourite photo of mine. i'm going to put them in a huge frame (2 huge frames) in my hallway as the entrance piece. it's going to look amazing!! i'm officially in love with moo. i also ordered some new GUGAW business cards but i've been too excited playing with these :D will post pics soon

cute shoes...

ooh, i'm developing a little bit of a crush on vintage style shoes....i brought these the other day, an absolute bargain! however, wasn't too sure on the boring brown laces so thinking about punching some more holes and tying them up with gorgeous cream grossgrain ribbon. in the mean time i've tied in some bright marigold yellow ribbon, which also looks quite cute!

but also quite liking these.....which are now on my wish list:

here are my day2days from the last week or so...inspiration from around the home! not quite got to 5 a week yet, but i'm progressing....

bead splurge....

i've just spent a small fortune on semi precious beads.....although i must confess that this is one of my favourite parts of jewellery making: hunting; waiting; receiving; admiring....!

i've started with the peridot, combining this with a little sterling silver apple to make a sweet necklace. might also list some in my supplies shop...(slowly building this up, i have so many goodies to list!)
